The kitchen. Pardon the dishwasher sticking out; it's an odd one that wouldn't fit a standard 24" space, so we're waiting on a replacement.

Also: yes, that is a column right in the middle. It's load bearing, so unless/until I re-engineer the beam across the center of the room, it's important for keeping the upstairs out of the kitchen.

We've hung Sharpies from that post, and have visitors sign it.
