Homeowner stripped of gun permit

Respect my authority!
Ricci told Fox News Digital that the sheriff's office called him Thursday morning to inform him his concealed carry permit was "revoked," and he said it was due to him "yelling" at Los Angeles police officers when they visited his home to investigate the shooting three days after the incident. Ricci previously railed that the LAPD – the department investigating the case – carried out "sloppy police" work, including allegedly not picking up the casings scattered near his home as evidence.

Good - great fodder for good case law and public opinion.
i seriously doubt about both. not on this topic. not until people will start facing home invasions across whole country with police to come to prosecure victims of invasion - like in this case - for not retreating fast enough and taking away all that thieves did not manage to carry away.

for now, public opinion is still a solid buy on a total confiscation via 'common sense laws' - as it is declared a common sense now for no one to be allowed to remain armed.

Current events in Isreal backed up by the unanswered violence of BLM riots has created a big question about safety in the mind of the suburban mom. They won't say it publicly for fear of being ostracized yet but that will change as home invasion becomes popular.

[rofl] [rofl]

I saw one the other day on YT. Down south somewhere. FL?

Some guy's dog keeps getting out and terrorizing the neighborhood. Nextdoor neighbor is PISSED. Cop walks over the talk to him. He's pissed. "Get rid of that dog. If it chased your daughter, it'd be gone."

Guy has his pistol on his hip. Cop detains and arrests him on "oh, you can't open carry on your own property" after THREE OTHER OFFICERS ON BODYCAM TELL HIM HE'S WRONG.

Hoping the guy gets a HUGE payday from the city and Officer FearforMyLife gets an early exit. What a douche.

There is a middle ground between F the Poleeps and Gotta Come Home Safe. Where officers act with integrity and then are supported by the community.

Seriously, would it be any difference here in loony liberal MA... "California of the East Coast"? 🤔

Except here the local police would pound on your door and demand you turn in all your guns or else. There they just suspend his concealed carry permit. So he is still armed at home, whereas here you would be totally disarmed and open to retribution from the attacker's buddies.

i agree some people are waking up, but, it is still a minor fraction.
majority still prefers to think that it is a job for somebody else to protect their bodies from harm, and it is only a normal human behavior.
what is less normal is a violent enforcement of this idea upon everybody else, as it all evolved into a religion of sorts, and noone can argue with religious zealots.

"...he said it was due to him "yelling" at Los Angeles police officers..."
What was that about never talking to the police?

Oh, it is a religion.
They may not worship God but they worship something as a god.

Yes, it would be different.

The homeowner would not have had to wait 3 days to have his permit revoked, and would likely be facing criminal charges. Even if obviously not guilty, his LTC would likely have been suspended and all guns confiscated until an investigation was complete.

As to yelling at the cops - never a good idea (except perhaps if you are being murdered and yelling HELP!). Three days later? Stay calm and explain you decline to be interviewed without your attorney present. Stay calm even when they are playing the "in your face to provoke a reaction" game.

I wonder if this person was a long-time CA permit holder (connections, wealth, right county, etc.) or a post-Bruen issuance.

Police: Hey thugs, we've disarmed Vince for you, so now you can go back to his house and not worry about him shooting back at you.
Thugs: Thank you.
CA is not like MA - a carry permit revocation does not in itself trigger a removal of all guns from the licensee.
