Henry Golden Boy- 17hmr VS 22mag

I'm planning on picking up a Henry Golden Boy but undecided on caliber. I've always been enamored with 17hmr, but always thought I would get it in a bolt action mini precision type setup. With a lever action maybe 22 mag would make more sense? Should I get it in 17 and later gt a bolt action, 2 guns with the same ammo? Thoughts?

Depends what your use is. The 22 mag has more energy up to 100 yards, after that the .17 hmr has more energy and won't drop until about 250 yards.

If it was me in the lever I would get 22 magnum then get 17.hmr in a bolt. Why not have one of each vs two of the same.
