They've already done just that.
"Q: I am a law enforcement officer. Does the notice affect me?
No. The notice does not change the law with respect to ownership of Assault weapons by law enforcement officers. Your existing right to buy and possess Assault weapons remains protected under Massachusetts law."

Well in that case maybe we need to put a delegation of MA gun owners together and go reason with the heads of the major firearms manufacturers.
I would be willing to bet that they are going to lose more business not being able to sell to MA 'citizens' - then they can make up by still being able to sell to police within MA.
They have something to gain by this.
they can buy them and take them home and enjoy them anyway they choose?
So school me on police purchases on banned rifles. Are these rifles being purchased for use during the performance of their duties, or they can buy them and take them home and enjoy them anyway they choose?
Sorry guys, Guess I will be taking my MAss compliant rifle to the range tomorrow instead and scream Bang.. Bang.. Bang.. from the firing line, I may even go rogue and hang a Non-Compliant target.
Unfortunately in the last few instances the SC has refused to hear gun legislation.
I would find it appropriate and comical if weapon manufacturers simply refused to sell weapons to Mass. on the case that they would not want to risk last minute flip/flop litigation because of an interpretation.
Good evening, I had sent you an email earlier in the week in the hopes you would stand up against the Attorney General's broad overstep of the bounds of power on her office by creating legislation without the help of the State Legislators. I was out there today at the Gun Owners Action League and thousands of other of this state's citizens who are also felons in waiting thanks to the AG's actions. After the rally I know that both the State Senators and State Representatives were busy wrapping up their few days left of this session. 58 of them sent a letter to the AGs office telling her to rescind her position on her new interpretation of the AWB that has been in effect for the last 18 years, and I was extremely disappointed to find your name and signature lacking from the document.
This leads me to believe that you are okay with Maura Healey position on infringing on constitutional rights and how she has used her office to create felons-to-be out of otherwise law abiding citizens.
If this is the case, you are just as responsible for the actions of the AG since you have not stood up against her with your fellow legislators.

I hope you reconsider your actions today, and stand with those who already have before the session ends.
We have long memories.

That might change with a leftist majority SC.
Cannot overstate the importance of beating Hillary. With 2-3 more progressive judges there will be a national ban.
Legislators and advocates who took the microphone said Healey had transformed legal gun owners into “felons-in-waiting” overnight. They acknowledged that Healey had promised not to prosecute those who purchased the guns legally prior to her ban, but said they did not trust her word.
“She could change her mind tomorrow,” Gun Owners’ Action League executive director Jim Wallace said.
“We don’t believe that anything in the Constitution is optional,” said Senate minority leader Bruce Tarr, to roars of approval. “Not the First Amendment that allows you to be here, and not the Second Amendment that allows you to defend yourself.”
Really, its just one to replace Alito that will put us over the edge. Roberts has some dirt in his past and, as his Obamacare vote proved, he can be pressured to vote as he's told.

Fukking weak story on Fox25 on the rally today and they used Linsky as an interviewee
SC Justices are a bit unpredictable, but give Hillary 2-3 shots and we're screwed. Maybe it's a good thing if it triggers go time. Nobody wants that, but it may be the only way to save this country.
Great--if you sent, I think, $50 or more to comm2A they will send you a cool challenge coin.
Made this up quickly to catch the visual attention of some younger Facebook friends. Delores Umbridge from the Harry Potter series in case you don't recognize the tyrant hag on the left. She was ousted, dragged out into a forest and terrorized by some of her "subjects" at the end of the story, as a result of unlawful decrees she made...

That's actually not a bad story.
That's actually not a bad story.
somebody good with the petition sites should set one up calling for the Governor to begin proceedings for the removal of the AG under article 8 for bypassing legislature, taking on their authority, and unjustifiably threatening criminal prosecution where no illegal act has occurred.
ETA: "arbitrarily and capriciously reinterpreting long-standing and existing law at the cost of the legal citizens rights" may fit in there somewhere too - we need something with true legal teeth. - prolly need a citizen/lawyer to make the verbiage properly stick.
Email to Thomas McGee, Brendan Crighton, and Daniel Cahill who represent Lynn

I wish they wouldn't do that. It means next to nothing to me and I'd rather they used the money to go after the bad laws in this state.
