I think there are different levels to it, though. During previous elections I think the sleazeball stuff (eg, factions of voters behaving badly) was minimal compared to what it is now. This is because the left has been great at ginning up hysteria.

I mean I guess the pussy hat march was big, but it also didn't actually have any concrete objectives at all, whatsoever. Hard to get worked up about something like that unless you're already desperate for a reason to get worked up.

I would have actually been impressed with the left if they put that much effort into marching when sanders got ripped off by shitlery. Even if I don't agree ideologically much with sanders at least it would have been hope- eg, "oh wow some people finally realized that shitlery is even poison by liberal standards... thats a step forward".

Meanwhile, the administration gives zero shits about the constituion just like president asslicker and president dickface before him. They're not even remotely aligned with actual conservative politics. He's been draining the swamp just to fill it back up with hacks of his own, politicizing government agencies just on the other side. It's just more of the exact same bullshit we get under every president.

That's one problem thats hard to deal with because middle america and most of the population as a whole doesn't understand the importance of the
constitution.

I think though that WRT swamp draining not much has happened there one way or the other, although there has been a mild chilling effect in
some regards. That stuff is only temporary though, just like every other administration. Except for the fed judge appointees, but without taking a fine comb to it one won't know how those really pan out until they start deciding cases.

Without a doubt I agree with that. Now they're going to gloss over it because, "lesser of two evils" just like they always do. Chuck Schumer has basically said he wants exactly that to happen. I think what he said was something along the lines of "I'm hoping we can have a recession that hurts a lot of Americans, so we can make Trump look bad." When Obama was president, if a Republican said anything even close to that, we would have seen all the talking heads calling for them to be booted out of office or killed. Likewise, Maxine Waters' call to violence against Trump supporters would never be tolerated if it was a Republican making the same comments about Obama supporters.

I may have missed it, but I never remember Republican Senators/Congressmen saying they want to see Americans suffer just to make the other side look bad, nor have I ever seen one call upon members of their party to commit acts of violence against the other party. WTF has been going on with these people the past few days/weeks?
