Did you get written permission from fauci? Not having a massive thanksgiving gathering last year was, in retrospect, the lowest point of COVID for me. No more of that shit.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
Did you get written permission from fauci?
Here's hoping they don't go door to door.I don't host. It wasn't my call.
This one was done with hickory. Hard to go wrong with hickoryWhat wood do you use?
One of my favorite episodes , that one and The Subway
The hardest part is rolling itRecipe? I want to try smoking one but I don't want to serve one for Thanksgiving until I get it right.
Hope everyone has a great day ........ Be safe , and be grateful
So.....we are still talking about turkey right..........LOLAny tips? I do bacon under the skin on the breast. Keeps it moist. I don't serve the bacon . Just for flavor. Now I want turkey...
I might try using maple syrup instead of sugar and use maple wood for smoking, give it a New England flavor. This one was done with hickory. Hard to go wrong with hickory
Uh.. yeah.. sure.. whatever.So.....we are still talking about turkey right..........LOL

Cranberry Sauce
Goes very well with turkey dark meat, duck, …
Ingredients (feel free to adjust or sub out to taste):
Grated zest and juice of three oranges
1 t grated fresh ginger
2 lbs fresh cranberries
1 can (12 oz) ginger ale (NOT diet)
1 t salt
1 pkg (12 oz) frozen raspberries
½ c maple syrup (NOT imitation)
¼ t fresh ground black pepper
1 t vanilla extract
1 c Beaujolais Nouveau
1 small fresh bay leaf
2 T light brown sugar
Combine all ingredients in large nonreactive saucepan. Simmer until reduced by half. Remove bay leaf. Whir sauce with hand blender. Pass through food mill (fine disk), then, for smoother sauce, through fine sieve. Serve warm (reheats well).
