Unfortunately I can say that normal people, at least up here, have no idea what's going on down there. My girlfriend is more worried about fires burning in Australia and Iran being a giant bag of dicks.

I haven't bothered to really get into this one with her yet. I figure there's no real reason to unless shit pops off on Monday--in which case I have more than enough ammo and guns for both of us.

That's not what I'm saying. "our' side won't start it but once it starts 'we' need have two choices...shoot back or just hand over the arms and go home. The whole shitshow is designed to be a trap and we lose either way!

I understand that some people have legit obligations and can’t be at lobby day but I am speaking about those who can go and don’t have a reason not to. These people can’t complain when they’re told to bend over and take it. And don’t forget you can speak to your politicians on all the other days of the year too, not just on lobby day. Make an appointment to see them in their office. Call them and speak over the phone.

If it all goes south, I hope that piece of excrement is one of the first to go. He says he listens to the people but yet he's ignoring what the people want. Most of the state appears to be against what he is pushing. He is NOT for the people.

Richmond, VA –-(Ammoland.com)- On Wednesday, Virginia Governor Ralph Northam issued a state of emergency in direct response to the VCDL Lobby Day that is taking place on Monday, January 20th. The state of emergency bans all weapons, including guns, from Capitol Square from Friday night until Tuesday morning. The emergency action will also ban items like helmets and shields.

In the Governor's press conference, Northam claimed he was worry about another Charlottesville happening in Richmond. In Charlottesville, white nationalists and Antifa clashed at the “Unite the Right Rally”. There was widespread violence.

Gun rights commentators on YouTube are asking “Does the Boogaloo begin in Virginia?” and warning: “Folks, this is now or never” and “Tyranny is not something in the past”.

Such violent anti-government rhetoric is a traditional part of the gun debate in the United States. American gun owners have long vowed to respond with force to any government efforts to confiscate their firearms, arguing civilian gun ownership is protected in the Bill of Rights as a defense against government tyranny. He illegally entered the country and was picked up by his two nazi buddies, who armed him and planned to attend.

They also bought more than 1,500 rounds of rifle ammunition, fired the rifle at a Maryland gun range and acquired vests to hold body armor.

SB16 getting struck is definitely a win, no doubt about it. You can tell the Democrats really don't wanna vote on an AWB. I think HB 961 will die in committee as well.

That said, some level of gun control is inevitable. They were always going to pass UBCs, a red flag law, and reimplement one handgun a month no matter what we did. They're definitely feeling the heat, though. The reason why they released those bills from the judiciary committee so quickly is because the Democratic leadership is afraid they won't be able to maintain unified support on those bills over the long run given all the pressure they're getting.

Reading Gov. Blackface' performance and the state senator calling 2A supporters crazy, I kept thinking the quote in Ross' book (in retelling archduke Ferdinand's assassination, and events led to rearming of Germany after WWI):

An objective observer might at this point have said, "Stripping motivated people of their dignity and rubbing their noses in it is a very bad idea."
