In all seriousness, this should be a stark illustration to all the Chicken Littles on this forum about the chances of any gun control laws making it out of any congressional committee where they go to die.

I had no knowledge of the LIRR shooting in 1993 until this article pointed it out. Wiki'd it real quick to see what it was about and found this interesting pc of info:
Ferguson was convicted on February 17, 1995, of murder for the deaths of the six passengers who died of their injuries. He was also convicted of attempted murder for wounding nineteen passengers. He is serving his sentence of 315-years-and-8-months to life at the Attica Correctional Facility in western New York. His current earliest possible parole date is August 6, 2039.
