William Wales Scagel was the 6th and youngest child of John and Annie Lee Scagel; born on Lincoln's birthday, February 12, 1875. By the 1960s and 1970s, Bill Scagel was virtually unknown to most of America's growing leigons of knife collectors. But Scagel has become a household word to knife collectors today. He was the first truly great knifemaker of the 20th century. It was a Scagel knife that inspired Randall to begin his knifemaking career and it was a handfulof Scagel knives in the Randall Musuem that led collectors to begin searching out knives by this great pioneer.

Tough to say, but not thousands....maybe hundreds, but im not familiar with specific model numbers.....if you want to know for sure, send me a PM and i have a guy who will give you an exact quote. It having been well used may or may not destory the value....some old knives are appreciated to have been used, but under 50 years, collectors usually want pristine as-new condition-wise.
