And the dashboard video shows why. That's Jimmy on the right trying to smash in the window. Seconds before, in freeway traffic, the SUV spun out and smashed into a sign, ejecting two.

A South Florida family expressed their gratitude to a police officer who rescued their daughter from a burning car.

Bill Motley and his family will be forever grateful after Boca Raton police officer Jimmy Jalil Jr. saved his 22-year-old Brianna from a burning car. "He is forever a part of our family," said Motley of the officer.

On Wednesday night, a single car with three people inside crashed on Interstate 95. Two passengers were ejected from the vehicle, while Motley found herself stuck inside the burning vehicle, severely hurt.

Officer Jalil's dashboard camera recorded the incident as passersby, along with the officer, tried desperately to save Motley.....

I would be willing to bet that if a civilian who happened to carrying did the same thing here in MA - they would be brought up on charges.
