FID ammunition restrictions?

Are FID holders barred from purchasing pistol caliber ammunition?

Like .25 Auto, 9mm Luger, .40S&W, .45 Auto?

Lets say my Dad has an LTC-A and I have an FID, and I just wanted to bring him home a box of .40S&W, is that legal?

Shouldn't be a problem.
If you go to Wal-Mart and they ask if it's for a handgun, "Just say no.".

Given that there are carbines chambered in 9mm, .38/.357, .40 S&W and .45 ACP, you should be covered there. .25ACP is a stretch!

Yup, Ruger makes a 9mm and a .40 cabine and I think winchester has a .357 and .45 lever action.
