“In a place like this, you can just let your dog run free. But when you're out in public, if your dog is aggressive you definitely need to keep it on a leash,” Leeann Ketcham said. “But I just feel really, really bad for the dog that died.”
Of all the creatures involved I'd say the shitty dead dog is the least deserving of any sympathy.
What's the over-under as to how many days until Bloomturd and/or Mom's Against come out slamming the shooter?....LOL
I've seen people online that are normally sensible folk call for the head of the shooter. These are SHOOTERS mind you. "It's not the dog's fault. It's tantamount to murder!"
627:8 Use of Force in Property Offenses. – A person is justified in using force upon another when and to the extent that he reasonably believes it necessary to prevent what is or reasonably appears to be an unlawful taking of his property, or criminal mischief, or to retake his property immediately following its taking; but he may use deadly force under such circumstances only in defense of a person as prescribed in RSA 627:4.
It didn't say if the shooter was a LEO or not.
But this isn't force against another, it is force against property, right?
I still say this was a good shoot, I can't get over the amount of people who go bananas over a dog's life. I know we all love our pets, but sometimes I really think people believe the Disney movies where animals talk to people and all that jazz.
Video news report says the larger dog jumped out of the open window of a parked car.You don't let your dog roam free around other unknown dogs. It wasn't clear if the dog actually broke out from the story
Being NH, I doubt there will be criminal charges, or even a civil suit.ConcordMonitor said:The owner of the smaller dog fired a single shot from close range after attempts to free his dog were unsuccessful, killing the attacking dog, police said.
The shooter’s dog was taken to a Concord-area veterinarian for treatment after sustaining injuries in the attack that were not deemed life-threatening, officials said. Police did not name anyone involved. The incident is still under investigation.
I've seen more than one person bit when they reached into the scrum to break up a fight.
But this isn't force against another, it is force against property, right?

We had a saying on sigforum... "spray the dog in the anus, with OC" I wonder if that actually works...
