Dick’s CEO Ed Stack Tests Third-Party Presidential Run

No, he did not. A few of his Atlantic City casino/hotels did. It's typical of real estate developers to compartmentalize their projects into separate corporations in order to quarantine the good ones from the failures. Also each project may have a different set of co-investors.

You obviously missed the emoji. I put it there in plain sight.

Actually, the stock is up about 40% from where it was when they started their anti-firearm BS. The investors seem to be pretty happy.

Other than Ross Perot, I'm not sure there's really been a significant third party candidate that really had an impact in the mid-to-late 20th/21st Centuries. The Nader situation with the 2000 election has been basically debunked at this point as not having an actual impact.

Am I the only one who remembers John Anderson in 1980 ???
He got 6.6% of the vote, while Carter got 41.0% and Reagan got 50.7%

Short term stock price is one of the most useless statistics when ti comes to judging how a company is doing. It's like asking the Kardashians what they think.

Their P/E is pretty low. I'd have to look to see what earnings have done. The stock is down from a high of 60-ish back in 2016. So no pats on the back for longer-term investors yet.

I don't recall his campaign but I recall everyone on the radio that day saying, "A vote for Anderson is a vote for Reagan."

I remember those annoying ads about "the Anderson difference". Although I never did figure out what that difference was.

The difference was 4 more years of economic malaise or a turn-around. ;)
