Connecticut State Pistol Permit Course
You must sign up prior to the class date to reserve your seat.
This is a classroom and range live-fire course that will certify you to apply for your resident or non-resident Connecticut State Pistol Permit. Our certified instructors will cover the safe handling and operation of many types of modern firearms. Students will develop the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for the safe handling, operation, and storage of firearms and ammunition in the home, and proper transportation of firearms outside the home.Classes are held select Sundays monthly from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Students will be escorted to the range at the conclusion of the class for the live fire portion, weather permitting (the range is outdoors, so please dress accordingly).
Our CT State Pistol permit classes require a minimum class of at least 3 students. Any class that does not meet this minimum class size will be rescheduled to a later date.
This course is $250.00 per person. Upon completion you will receive your NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course Certificate. This course will also include covering the CT DESPP standardized PowerPoint, in accordance with Public Act 23-53 which will be required for all applications submitted on or after July 1st, 2024.
