Heres a Chinese SKS I got from the last Springfield show. Its a military version and doesn't have any import markings. The stock is a little beat up and the bluing is thin with some light pitting here and there, but the bore is really clean and the rifle is very accurate. The price was right too.
The ammo bandolier you see is the same one that Sportsman's Guide said couldn't be shipped here because it was for an "SKS". [rolleyes] I found it elsewhere for a cheaper price anyway.

Mine has no import marks on it either. I dated it to 1967.

I found that the LOP was way too short for me and I added a 1 inch rubber butt plate extension on it. Mine came with an add on pistol grip, which I gave away. Somewhere along the line it had a metal upper hand guard added. Where or when, I don't know because even with these mods, it still appeared new and unused.

It makes it a really nice shooting rifle. It's very accurate.

You will grow to consider yours one of your favorites.
