I have yet to follow those links, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that none of the guns confiscated were obtained legally nor were they in the possession of someone with the appropriate license. However, I'm sure a nice, strict one gun a month policy would would prevent these things from happening.

Assault and Battery on a retarded person can be either a misdemeanor (up to 2 1/2 years in a House of Correction) or a Felony (up to five years in state prison) for the first offense. Chapter 265: Section 13F. Since the suspects and the victim are all black, that's the likely to be the charge, although there will probably be others.
