just got a bodyguard .380 and i cant turn the take down lever more than half way. anyone have similar issue, any help is apprieciated.

You have to use some elbow grease. It's significantly easier to get it to turn up to a certain point.

It should NOT require any tools. Try spraying it with some CLP first.

I use a peice of plastic, won't scratch the surface. It's about 1/4 thick, 3/8 wide by three long. The size is not relevant, just make sure it's stiff enough.
