She's preaching to the choir, she doesn't need to explain herself. She's the darling of the left and can do no wrong. Does anyone think she cares what we think? We could fill a room w/our supporters and the Globe headline would read, "AG HEALEY ASSAULTED BY GUN NUTS". Our only chance is the Supreme Court and even if we won Ma. would ignore the ruling.

As I said at the Goal advocacy meeting.
Why are we wasting our time trying to convince Liberals that want all firearm ownership rights removed from the citizens of this country?
We should be working on getting the 400,000 firearm owners and their families involved with protecting their rights that the 2nd amendment guarantees.
Sorry to bust everyone's bubble but firearm owners will always look like the outcast of society in the eyes of everyday people.
The AG controls the game. She knew exactly what to say to avoid the questions and mention how she was saving the children.
She will show how you want assault rifles on the streets killing children and that is why she is right in her interpretation.
The liberal courts in Ma and the federal govt. will rule that it was a just reinterpretation. It's politics people. They will not let the other side win!
The video once again has shown just how many voices the 2nd amendment has here in MA.
To the gentlemen that spoke up at the meeting. Bravo!
Goal member numbers=16,000 out of 400,000 licensed firearm owners in MA.
MA population= 6.7 million people...
If the 400,000 won't stand up for the rights the 2nd Amendment provides. Why should the other 6.3 million?
If I had to write a new Goal slogan it would be "I've been fighting for your rights for over forty years. The second amendment is under attack! Join the fight!".

I think the reason why Healey doesn't listen is because the pro gun crowd is using the 2nd amendment arguement, which she knows exactly how to dance around it. What you need to do is approach it Wayne LaPierre style: the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun, is a good guy with a gun. By infringing on gun rights, she's making it harder for the law abiding citizen to defend themselves. Also hit her hard with "criminals don't follow laws" argument. Show her stats on high gun ownership leading to lower crime. Its a SHAME that as top LEO, she doesn't take the safety and protection of the citizens seriously. Its an insult to everyone that depends on her to make the people safe by empowering the law abiding citizen and punishing the criminal.

Healy won't listen because she doesn't care, and won't care, and won't ever change her mind, because believe it or not, she's not actually invested in the topic beyond what it does for her politically. The dem cabal told her what to do and she's just following the script, like a good little moonbat puppet.

Correct. Attending her town hall meetings is a waste of time. I'm sure she has some plants in the crowd taking notes on all the gun nuts opposed to her edicts and adding them to a list of deplorables. These useful idiots still think we stole the election and they're at war with us.

Nobody is disputing what you post and we all agree that is important.
It's also equally important to remind Healey and her pom pom waving supporters that their actions are affecting real people while having no effect on the criminals that they are trying to deter.
Disruption at these events is a good thing, I hope it increases until she stops having them because they are not worth the hassle.

Sorry Mike but these morons are true believers and they think they're doing Gods work. They really believe guns are the root of all evil and banning/confiscating them will help solve violent crime. They've been brainwashed from a young age and even if they were the victim of a violent crime they still would be drinking the kool-aid. Guns, racism and climate change are the true evils in the world according to their mantra.
I think what Mike is getting at though, ultimately, is that there might be some weeble wobbles in the room, and if you can kinda expose her BS in front of them, they might take note of it. I don't think that's entirely invalid approach. We might not be able to annoy her directly, but drawing attention to the issues is not a horrible thing.
ETA: as an aside, if someone hits these often enough, eventually it can get to a point where they can exploit her script and make sport of her. EG "Well, I asked you this question a month or so ago, and you didn't actually answer it- so in the interest of fairness, I figured I'd give you some time to think about it, and that eventually, you would actually answer the question. I guess I was wrong. " etc, stuff like that. If they refuse to select a person (because her or her minions have seen you before) you can recruit a plant in there instead that they don't know about. Find some gun owner who dresses well for work and invite him, it'll throw them off.

Anything to get them to stop singing save the orphans for even 10 seconds is probably a good thing. I doubt she will give it up, but it will be funny if people figure out how to become "politely obnoxious" and it ends up getting recorded, etc.

Mike, we already have bulls eyes on our backs and we don't need to give the anti's any more ammo. IMHO disrupting one of her Town Halls will backfire on us. Can you imagine the Globe headline the next day? If the Dems keep up their "resistance" campaign and the uber libs keep trying to shut down free speech there will be a real civil war, one that the libs will be totally unprepared for and can't win. What I tell them is to be careful what you wish for.

Even if all it does is annoy her then it is some level of revenge. This won't be decided in townhalls but it also wouldn't be a bad thing for us to be seen as educated individuals instead of backwards hillbillies.

I'm not sure about being outnumbered but they definitely out organize us and show up when it counts. They're all on the same page and true believers and we're always fighting among ourselves. The Republicans can't even repeal Obamacare and agree on tax cuts but the Dems stick together and will all die on the hill rather than compromise w/Trump..

We should be able to have a respectful dialogue with an elected official who we are paying, at an event that we're paying for, in a building that we're paying for, without them losing their minds.
If they start shouting at us because they don't want to hear the truth, or even an opposing view point, it will speak volumes. Make sure to video everything you do at these events.

We will be escorted out and threatened w/arrest. Next time you go for your renewal don't be surprised if you're no longer suitable to carry a firearm. We have much to lose and she/they have nothing to lose. She holds our "rights" in between her fingers and we have no recourse. Better to lay low and prepare. We need one more Supreme Court Justice and then Maura is the poster girl for the Court affirming the right to bear arms, even an AR-15.

I don't see how they can cause you problems if you are only disruptive within the confines of the rules. MA sucks but dayum, loosen the tinfoil a little bit. I agree whether or not it will do much is certainly debatable, but I don't see any hazard in tactfully engaging her in a public venue.

What it will do is make that person seem like a heckler in the back row.

I would never bother going to one of these. They're political events paid for by Healey's political committee. She's there as Healey the politician, not Healey the AG. I'd be very surprised (and very concerned) if any career AGO employees travel with her to these events.

Nope, just stating the facts. Nothing we do or say will have any effect on Healey's decisions regarding firearms. We live in an anti-gun/ anti-freedom of speech State that doesn't believe we have the right to question their decisions. My opinions are based on decisions and statements of our politicians. Healey and the anti's are so outraged over Trumps election that they are looking for scapegoats and we're in their cross hairs. Our only hope lies in the Supreme Court.
