Lecturing the United States on guns is pretty ironic coming from the organization who has killed more people throughout history than Hitler, Stalin, and Mao. Who is the real exporter of death?

The pope was NOT speaking about gun control.

He was talking about the US government exporting weapons to all over the place (where we have no business being I might add). Much of this is to prop up countries where the politicians think we have an interest. Or we export to a country we support who acts as a proxy for US interests. Defense contractors lobby many of these politicians to make them believe we have an interest to export weapons to various places.

The pope is right, we should make lots of guns and sell them to people who live in this country not other countries. If other countries think its important enough to have guns and other weapons, they should step up and make them. As we have learned here on NES, its possible to make an AK out of a shovel...other countries should have no problems making their own weapons.
