A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America," for an amount of "up to and including THEIR LIFE."

My God. Thank you all so much! Your dedication and sacrifices are not unnoticed.

Our small town funds a veterans dinner every year put on by the COA. It's an honor to attend & talk to the old timers. Over the years the numbers have dwindled, we just lost our last two WW2 vets this year. I would encourage my fellow vets to be involved in these type of events to remember & keep the traditions alive. Semper Fi

My eternal gratitude to all those that have served!

We just returned from our town's annual Veteran's Day event in the town square. Very poor turn-out this year but for the 100+ that showed up, we were able to thank some Vets and learn some things. I attend this every year.
