Any tips for squirrel hunting?

Alternately, I have a suggestion --

Find a farm where they have a problem with squirrel damage, and a good cook who knows how to prepare squirrel.

Want to actually track and hunt animals and not feel guilty about killing them and abandoning their carcass ?

Bring a camera instead of a rifle.
