Well, I finally lost the spring guide rod on my p938. Man that is frustrating. I am usually pretty good at keeping an eye on it and screwing back in place. But I have been practicing more with the gun since the apocalypse has come. It's gone. This is my everyday carry so I am a bit frustrated. What is the fastest and easiest way for me to get my hands on another one?

Thanks

Pete

Easiest way is to call the sig pro shop to ask if they have one in store.
If yes, drive up.

They'll have it online but shipping takes forever, in good times.

2nd easiest way is to buy my 938 extreme, it comes with a free guide rod. ;)

Pro Shop is your best bet. You can call up but your best bet if you REALLY need it might be to just drive up and ask in person. They’ve been amazingly kind in the past and just given me various parts for free “under the table” when I’ve been in a bind.

Thanks guys. I absolutely hate the way this thing is made. It should be one piece. This time I am using permanent locktite. I don't need that thing popping out on me when I need it most, unless it can poke the other guy in the eye. Uggh.

Actually found a company that makes the guide rod out of one piece of stainless steel. Not cheap, $42 vs dying is a no brainer. Of course, I am running into some wordpress site error when trying to place the order. I'm done for today. Time for a drink.

Just male sure you don't bring the wife, That pro shop wall is covered in porn, And she'll get jealous when you start drooling..........and start thinking about taking one home...

You're gonna laugh, but I like the gun. I shoot it well out to 25 feet or so. As long as that stupid rod does not fall out, it never ever fails to shoot. 1000's of rounds through it. And very easy to conceal.

I know, I had one. And a 238. Got rid of both after I got the 365. The 365 is not appreciably larger than the 938, just as easy to conceal and you can carry the 365 AIWB which I would not advise w the 938.

The 938 is a sweet little shooter but ifyou can shoot the 938 you can shoot the 365

One day I will need to get something with a little better capacity. I really don't mind carrying the 938 IWB. It has one in the chamber and is cocked and locked at all times. I am using a kydex holster.

I hear you. 938 IWB is fine in Kydex but I wouldn’t be comfortable w it cocked & locked w Appendix IWB

Call the sig pro shop...funny

Well, got my fingers crossed that Stainless Steel Guide Rods comes through. Product was back ordered for days. Tried calling a few times; no luck. Sent a couple emails... no luck. Checked site today and product available again so ordered it. Not getting the warm and fuzzies, but I need the part.

Sig; forget about it. Tried calling, was on hold forever. Sent a couple of emails; no response. Available on their site, but it is both parts only, not rod only. Almost put in the order but when they wanted to hit me with a ten dollar freight charge I was done.

So, hopefully the one piece guide comes and all is good. I just like Sig a little bit less right now. Realizing that I should grab a second edc semi auto (walking around with my 38sp right now), but having a hard time wanting another sig. And I know they make good guns, but this recurring part failure and lack of communication is a bit bothersome.

Maybe M&P? Not expensive and reliable.

I had to call them the other day and spent a good hour on hold waiting for them. The Pro Shop usually picks up right away, but the CS is bad. I emailed them a month ago and it took them 10 days to get back to me.

Yeah, I got a second P365. I did it mostly so that I could go to the range and not have to clean it immediately after, I just switch to the clean one (works well when I want to go to the range and shoot the carry gun a couple times in the same week). Always good to have a second EDC once you find one you like, only need one set of holsters.

Do you think at S&W service will be any better than Sig? I have a Shield, M&P full size, Bodyguard, coupla revolvers, I like S&W just fine but dunno that I'd buy another Shield over a 365 or that S&W service would be any better than Sig.

I was in the pro shop at 1 yesterday picking up some mags for my new x-compact.
It was packed with customers and the staff was overwhelmed taking care of people.
Meant to look for a guide rod on the small parts wall but just wanted to get out of there.

I would love to just go to a shop, look, handle then hopefully purchase the 365 there. I just can't get myself to make an appointment, wear a mask, and do god knows what else.

I don't know where you live but you're welcome to try my 365 if on the N Shore.
It disappears aiwb in the right holster (I use tenicor velo for the 365).
