Update on spring rod guide. ssguiderods was impossible to correspond with by phone or email. However, they showed the rod back in stock. Noticing only positive feedback on these folks I decided to order. I had it in a few days. Nice quality and runs like a charm in the gun. Sig got back to me after like two weeks of sending an email. They were awesome. Sent me out the part for free. So I have a backup, just in case.
All I can think is that everybody in the gun business is just getting crushed with orders and questions these days.
