.....while visions of past battles danced in their heads.....

Okay, I decided today it was time for my semi-annual clean everything in the gun cabinet day. I have two cabinets that I use to keep my stuff in. These clean up days usually consist of having the house to myself, throwing on a few movies everyone else in the house either doesn't like or is too young to see, and methodically giving each rifle and pistol a little TLC with a silicone rag and some gun oil.....

Two things:

1) I bet a few of us can name every rifle in that line up but how about a listing for those not in the know?

2) If ever there was a need for an internet Scratch n' Sniff gizmo that pic needs one. There is nothing like the smell of well preserved wood and metal mixed with a few leather slings!

Agreed 110% [smile]

Thanks again all.... My house has the worst lighting of any place I know so pictures seldom some out well.

The K43 is a hell of a rifle. They definitely fit the nickname, Hitler's Garand. It's a shame they were too little too late for the Wehrmacht (good for our boys, bad for the potential of the rifle). Here's a few more shots....

These three are reasonably correct. The Remington was evaluated by Rick The Librarian of the Surplusrifle forum. According to Rick, it's a very correct 03. All three rifle have original, period slings.
