Ammo purchases

I noticed a lot of you guys stock up on ammo....Do you guys mix it up? Do you stock up on a lot of ammo for the range as well as carry ammo?

Yes. I have some of each.

I don't stock up, just keep a supply of consumables
I usually have a fair amount of carry ammo, not lots. I have lots of most else.

I buy a lot, but I shoot a lot, and we both shoot the same caliber, so it goes quickly.. We do have ammo for all of the different guns we have, which is just about a little bit of everything. We have enough carry ammo to keep carry mags to capacity.

I mostly buy all FMJ for the range, and do so whenever I find a good price. I only keep about 1 or 2 boxes of defensive ammo around for each calliber. The one exception is .40 which is my most popular calliber, I keep several boxes of 180gr Ranger T's for those.

I always get laughed at, apparently suppliers are making everything but .45ACP FMJs...

Yeah, but in the case of a 1911, it is an overpriced club with style

I tend to just buy whatever I can whenever I can, based on current funds and what I can find at the store.

If it has one of those stabby things on the end a gun without ammo can be a short spear too.

after the SHTF, it's all carry ammo.

I have about 250 rounds of 9mm for the range, and I keep a stock of hollow points for carry.
