I'm looking for a good solid 1911, maybe more of an operators weapon. Price limits are around 1200, suggestions?

Great firearm, basic, reliable, comfortable to carry. Stock 3 dot sights and rubber grips, it is a work horse of a carry.

Absolutely love mine, around 2500 rounds down range, no issues or FTF. Favorite of all my firearms, hands down.

Use the rest of your budget for ammo and holsters.

Enjoy!!! IMHO the 1911 is a great platform!!

What is an "operators weapon"?

$1200 is not enough for "operators" weapon. Plan on more like 2200 - 3000K if you want to feel truly like an operator.
