On Sunday, Steve Kerr, the coach of the Golden State Warriors, spoke about last weekend’s shooting in Sacramento and used the incident to call for more gun control laws.

Kerr, who is known as a radical leftist who often uses his position as an NBA coach to push far-left political policies, demanded that lawmakers make more stringent anti-gun laws after the shooting that left six dead and a dozen wounded earlier in the day.

The Warriors coach spoke out during the post-game press conference after the Warriors defeated the Sacramento Kings 109-90. Kerr kicked off his comments by referencing the moment of silence for the victims that was held ahead of the game, Fox News reported.

“I don’t think moments of silence are going to do anything,” Kerr said. “At some point … our government has to decide are we going to have some commonsense gun laws, it’s not going to solve everything, but it will save lives.

“Despite the fact that 80 to 90% of Americans support background checks and you know, you think about all of the common sense laws we could and should put in place,” Kerr said without bothering to elucidate how “background checks” could have stopped the shooting that is likely gang-related.

“If we had any guts, if our government had any guts, if people put others in front of their own career paths, you know,” Kerr added, “in front of their own reelection campaigns, in front of their own propaganda to manipulate people. It’s right there in front of us.”

The Sacramento Kings’ coach, Alvin Gentry, also chimed in, calling the shooting “an incredible tragedy.”

“It’s unfortunate that something like that can still happen nowadays in an environment where everybody is really out having fun, just trying to have fun and have a good time,” Gentry said. “It’s a sad day. I hope this is not something that our city is remembered for because it’s a great place with a lot of great people that live here.”

f***ing puke. It's the object's fault.
Car accidents are the cars fault. If a person smashes another in the head with a bat, its the bat's fault.
Someone kills someone with a knife, its the knifes fault. Let's blame the item used, not the human using it.

See, the shovel just jumped at the back of her head

Actually what we need are commonsense DAs who will lock up the bad guys and hold them accountable for the crimes they commit. If the Martin brothers had been in jail instead of out on the streets at 2:00 AM maybe this would not have happened.

We DO have background checks Mr. Kerr. Have you ever bought a gun? Ever heard about NICS background checks or the 4473?

If YOU Mr. Kerr had any guts you would acknowledge that there are people out there who don't give a sh*t about others, who behave in impulsive and violent ways that hurt and kill innocent people. They are extremely dangerous. Spare us the BS about "mass incarceration" and "criminal justice reform". And if YOU Mr. Kerr had any common sense you would admit these assh*les should be locked up until they are safe to return to society.

Why don't you offer your "thoughts and prayers" then? And what was so "fun" about a concert featuring "Tyler, the Creator". This "horrorcore artist" is known for violent antigay and misogynistic lyrics so vile he was actually banned from performing in England for 3-5 years. He also was charged with inciting a riot in Texas in 2014. No wonder the gangbangers were all riled up and raring to go that morning.

What would really save lives is not letting violent criminals out of jail two years into their ten year sentence.

Meh. He’s a basketball coach with a Twitter account. Nobody cares what he thinks.
Sadly, I think you are wrong.
I think the majority of Americans form their opinion on these topics by what their favorite Musician, actor or athlete says.

IIRC when Kerr was asked about China committing genocide against the Uyghur muslims (cause they were going to play games in China) he responded by saying we need gun control in America.

Kerr can eat the fattest bag of d**** known to man.
He's a f***ing Dem puke, total phony and shill for the Libs

Unfortunately, you're wrong. Dead wrong. While people like you and I don't follow twitter, millions of brain dead voters do. We ignore the problem at our own peril, much like Jews thinking the crazy guy running for Chancelor will never go through with everything he's talking about.

Wouldn’t be the first time I was wrr…wrrrro…

If I got outraged at every a**h*** w/a Twitter account I’d be exhausted, and retarded.

Dude's a basketball coach who doesn't want to "lose the locker room." What would you expect him to say?

He has an audience, and that audience is not NES. I'm not shocked.

Keeping illegal alien sex offenders and gang members out of the country would save lives. But .gov seems disinterested in that.
