Yet another dumb AR question

What do I need to fit a Colt upper onto my Anvil Arms lower ? I know it's got something to do with large pin vs small pin and/or some kind of adapter.

I can't seem to find a definate answer. Has anyone here built an AR from a Colt upper & AA lower ?

I'm sitting here scratchin' my head.

If you have the upper and lower and put them together does it look like the holes and/or pins don't match?

You will be all set. I have gone both ways with lowers and uppers and these work great.. good luck.

First you will need to see if you have a small hole upper (.250in dia) or a large hole upper(.315in dia). If it is small hole, you are good to go... If it is large hole, you will need an adapter sleeve for the upper similar to this one: http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/store/productdetail.aspx?p=24949&st=ar-15%20pivot%20pin%20adapter&s=.

If it does end up being a large hole upper, PM me, I have large hole Colt lower, maybe we can work something out.

Allows mounting a Colt Upper Receiver with large pin holes to a mil. spec. (small hole) push pin type Receiver. $17

I don't have the upper yet and I don't know what size the holes are either.

So, Colt uppers could be either large or small hole and if it has the large hole that will means I need the Reverse Offset Pin to fit the Colt upper to the Anvil Arms (Milspec.) lower.

Wanna have my ducks in a row to put my rifle together.
