Part of the problem is people assume every noob is a forum ninja and knows to look for stickies. Before NES I had no forum experience beyond /. and that is a very different beast. I didn't know to look for stickies. A lot of others don't either. I don't know what the answer is, but I suspect it involves content linked off of the main NES home page. That content could be stickies. It could also be a link shown to guests and noobs on the top of the page simply stating, "new here?, clicky". But even that is not fool proof because these forums tend to have major information overload. Although NES is eminently readable, most aren't like arfcom. Been there lately?
