Why doesn't the "New Posts" page counter work?

Rnning Windows 7 Home Premium with all updates and latest version of IE. When I read the New Posts it shows "Page 1 of 5". Then when I click on page 2 it then shows "Page 2 of 6", and the final # of pages keeps incrementing. It shouldn't be that hard for the page counter to be accurate.

By the time you click on page 2, that many more posts have been posted? I get the same issue on occasion (windows 7 basic, ie8) and when I click the last couple pages is says not found.

I seriously doubt that's the reason. There could be 25 pages of posts and it still says "Page 1 of 5", and so on. That may be the reason for a 1 or 2 page differential towards the end, but not right from the start.

I think it's a basic malfunction in vBulletin. I get the same mistake on OpenCarry.org since they switched to vB, too.

I only use IE (Windows) at work because it's the only thing allowed, but the same thing happens with Firefox for Windows or Mac, and Safari for Mac.
