Washington DC man arrested with "assault rifle"

Apparently he was on the metro with it wrapped in a towel, heading for downtown and the monuments. People on the train saw it and called 911. When LE arrived he ran, jumped off the train platform and broke his ankle. LE arrested him without incident.


The helicopter shot looks like a shotgun to me but it's hard to tell.

I'm glad he was arrested. I HIGHLY doubt he was a LAW ABIDING CITIZEN like us. Yeah, they used the "AW" word again for the wrong weapon...surprise surprise.

SKS's are light at 9lbs so they're easy to carry and small so they're very easy to conceal with something like a set of twin size bed sheets or a couple beach towels and SKS's have a very high capacity magazine of 10 rounds that stores one of the most powerful rounds known to man. I don't trust anyone who is interested in any type of milsurp firearms. They're all creepy psychos.

They're cheap and they work almost unquestionably and don't look as evil as a true EBR.
You have to wonder what this guy had planned.
Very glad this turned out the way it did.
