I continue to be blown away by people asking for MORE LAWS, thinking the mere existence of the law will prevent some tragedy. They're failing to recognize that NO LAW, EVER has stopped a crime. The law only describes what .gov can do to you if you break the law. The law itself does not and cannot stop the crime from being committed.

Murderers, especially those intent to kill themselves (or have the police do it for them) are not dissuaded by the existence of a law that tells them they can't do something "or else."
