I think it's been maybe 8 years for me..Whenever gunshops started signing up their employees with CMP and buying up the Greek 30.06 to re-sell it causing prices to rise is when I hung it up. I have a few crates left, but won't shoot the ammo,too expensive to replace.

Damn. Hadn't heard of that but I'm not surprised in the least. Garand ammo is going for about 65 cents per round from TSUSA plus you get a 50 cal ammo can included. Not ultra cheap but not bad for 30-06.

Oddly enough my one and only speeding ticket was in Vermont back in 2014. Good ol Woodstock, VT where there are literally 2 cops trying to catch speeders. They got me. $175....
