Again, point completely missed. The executions before and after Slovik were for crimes such as murder, rape,etc. Slovik's execution in 1945 was the last for a breach of military conduct,ie: desertion in the face of the enemy. Bergdahl did the same thing, and should suffer the same fate.
I think I am missing the point. We give the Taliban back 5 people who are clearly going to go significantly out of their way to **** with the West in the short term only to get back a soldier who is of no importance to anything just so we can execute him?
We release enemies who will attack, kill and hurt us and our friends just so we can kill a misguided insignificant soldier?
