Very tragic story. Hopefully they will find out what really happened.
The father wants something done about the guns and violence on the streets. But he let his 14 year old daughter attend a party and be out at 4:00am??????

I mentioned this to a non-gunny (but sympathetic) about guns are always written in active tence (issat right? I forget the exact term)
"The gun shot the victem"
not "The victem was shot by a gun"
and god forbid:
"The perp shot the victem with a gun"

He's now looking closely at all gun-related stories he hears and is AMAZED that he never noticed it before.
