Tax Day rally in Boston on April 13

Greater Boston Tea Party will have a Tax Day Rally on Boston Common on April 13 at 1PM http://greaterbostonteaparty.com/?post_type=tribe_events. Jim Wallace will be one of the speakers. I'll definitely be there with my family and take advantage of free meters and/or lack of enforcement (it's Sunday) of commercial vehicle only, resident permit only, and other parking restrictions.

I understand the draw to hold a rally on Boston Common, but isn't there anyplace to hold a rally that isn't a gun-free zone? Or is the location intentional to keep people from open carrying?
