Like Picon said, how were the accusers still alive to make accusations? Perhaps the LEOs felt “safe” by some local look-the-other-way policies. Five months later, it looks like the cat got out of the bag. Probably 1-2 cops out of control and several others not involved but complicit due to inaction, directly involved or not. If so, it’s the junior LEOs that are damned if they do and damned if they don’t. I talked to a new NYSP graduate about that sort of thing and he said yeah, the newbies talk about it. He said it’s just a wildcard - it’s a choice of getting sucked in to the prosecution or shunned by everyone until you quit.

Some of this is straight outta the Stanford Prison study.
Those "guards" weren't gay either, and yet they used homosexual abuse pretty routinely against the "prisoners" as an expression of their power. Lots of sports-team hazing incidents feature anal rape. It's not usually about being gay; it's normally about dominance. Same thing with Abu Ghraib; SPC Graner was anally raping prisoners with broomsticks, while at the same time screwing two or three of the women in his unit. He's not gay.

Hell, this happened in January; it's only coming out now. This is how things have been with cops for decades. They've been getting away with all sorts of shit as a matter of course. We've got a whole megathread about it.
Like I said earlier, they'd have been smarter just to murder these two. Especially after they shot the dude. But others are coming forward now saying that department has been shoving guns into peoples' mouths for years. This was probably an ND.
That's the least of it. They entered the house without a warrant.
That should be an insta prison offense.
Everything else they did was barbaric. But a cop who invades a home without a warrant or PC needs to be jailed.
