WORCESTER— Four city men were arraigned in Central District Court today on charges they jumped a man on Lakeside Avenue and stole $500 from his wallet.

Police reports said officers were patrolling the area when they saw four people standing near 2 Lakeside Avenue around 12:30 a.m.

“The males were leaning over a body which was laid out on the ground, and all four appeared to be grabbing the person on the ground and rummaging through his clothing,” police reports said.

The officers turned their cruiser around and flashed a spotlight on the group. The men then ran toward two cars, police reports said. On the ground police found an 18-year-old man with cuts on his head and face. His pockets were turned inside out, police reports said.

The victim’s pants were also around his ankles, police reported.

Officers had the four men stop and at that time one of them allegedly dropped the victim’s wallet. The man allegedly holding the victim’s wallet was identified as Marco E. Burgos, 26, of 23 Catalpa Circle, police said.

The wallet was empty, but the victim told police he had $500 inside.

A knife was allegedly found at the feet of one of the four assailants, police reports said. Augustus J. Kormah III, 19, of 4 Cabot St., allegedly told police it was his.

The victim told police he was dropping someone off at Lakeside Avenue when he was jumped. Mr. Kormah had blood on his pants and shirt, police said.

All four men were arrested. The two other men were identified as Richard Garcia, 20, of 11 Prospect St., Apt. 4, and Kevin Waweru, 19, of 25 Catalpa Circle.

They were all charged with assault and battery, unarmed robbery, disturbing the peace and disorderly conduct in Central District Court. Mr. Kormah, who was also charged with carrying a dangerous weapon, was placed on $25,000 cash bail for the alleged attack then held without bail because he has a prior drug charge pending in court.

Mr. Burgos was held on $15,000 cash bail and Mr. Waweru was held on $1,000 cash bail. Mr. Garcia was placed on $10,000 for the alleged attack then held without bail after court officials said he violated probation. All four defendants will return to court Nov. 21.

Our revolving door justice system at work again... [thinking]

The good thing is Chief Gemme doesn't want you to protect yourself against animals like this. He said only LEO's have to deal with violent criminals... [rolleyes]

Tell us what you really think, Mr. D!

Gemme is the same guy who didn't want the Cops Show to be shot in Worcester too... He didn't want the sheeple to see there are actually violent criminals in Worcester...
