Sig refurb services

Going to try to pick up one ot the Police trade in 226s Carl has for sale at FS tomorrow. From what I've been told, they have a bit of "holster wear". Has ayone ever sent a pistol back to Sig for refurbishing? I was thinking a Nitron finish. I already have a G17 for a "range beater" and would like to fix up the 226. Any advice or experience with this process would be appreciated.

I have a firearm OCD problem. I try to keep all firearms in "like new" condition. Everything is detailed and lubed before it goes back in the safe. The exception is the "beater" G17 which is kind of a test bed. I rarely do anything beside spraying it down with Mpro7.

I have sent a P228 for slide refinishing, it came back very nice. You might want to look at www.ccr-refinishing.com. Brad does great work and is a lot cheaper.

I'd send it off for hard-chrome instead. Much harder than any black finish. Do it once and you're done.
