Never heard of center fire rifle at pins. Only pin leagues I’ve been allowed to play at were 40 and larger only, 9mm need not apply. 9 works, I have my own pins, but league rules and all.

You can’t use 9mm since it will blow the pins lungs out.

Some day I’m going to try shooting pins with my Taurus Thunderbolt pump action in 45 Colt; 26 inch barrel and 14 rounds with crappy sights. That’s if I can get it to run reliably. Never have seen a gun so sensitive to overall cartridge length. But I knew that when I bought it.

That can be easily solved.

isn`t it easier just to shoot any .308 ar? 155-168gr bullet should be enough to knock out pin, i would think, even if it will also go through it, no?
or you`ve moved to pistols from rifles already?

I wonder what would happen of you took a pair of dikes (stay tuned for hilarious photos from the NES kindergarten) and snipped off the tip of the 223 bullets? If they fed ok, would that give more of a "slap" to the bowling pin?
