To save, or possibly even regain some gun rights, we must make our own proposals:
- Repeal the federal Gun Free School Zones Act of 1990
- Repeal the post-'86 machine gun ban
- Repeal the Gun Control Act of 1968
- Repeal the National Firearms Act of 1934
- Eliminate the Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms, Tobacco and Explosives (ATF), and distribute any remaining functions between the Treasury Department and FBI
As I posted on another forum earlier:
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said today that we would just have to wait and see what VP Biden proposes, "...then make our own proposals."
This is why we *will* end up with more gun control.
When you start at the status quo and negotiate compromise, you always move towards what the other guy wants, and away from your own ideals.

There. Let's start with that proposal, then negotiate.
So where do we begin?
