Senate Bill 2406 "Safe Alternatives Bill"

I heard for my State Sentator Bob Hedlund today in regards to the Safe Alternatives Bill which would have banned lead ammunition. His response " In effect, the final version of this legislation will not impact lead ammunition or impact gun owners in any way."
Bob Hedlund is one of the few friends of gun owners on Beacon Hill. He has always voted to protect lawful gun ownership and the shooting sports.

Yeah, sure. Those assurances are being made now.

Once they get the bureaucracy inplace, the BGlobe will write weekly editorials about the "Lead Bullet Loophole". In response, many teachers will direct their 3rd graders to write letters begging that the "Lead Bullet Loophole" be closed. After being called poisoners of children a few times, all legislators will fold the tent, and lead bullets will be banned.

Remember, before NICS came online, you could buy long guns from FFLs without a background check -- now buying any gun FTF is called the "Gun Show Loophole." And come 2009, regardless of the party that wins the election, the President will have been on record to close the "Gun Show Loophole".
