Selling an AR in this climate.

And before anyone starts with a "not assembled by Sept 1994" crap, suck a pickle, you worry too much

I’d rather buy one of those $199 stack on RSC’s and stick it in the basement oiled up in a gun sock than sell it....which is why I have a safe problem that I justify by buying guns.

Also have LPK’s, lowers and prebuilt uppers....in 2 states and I’ll leave whatever selling to be done by my kids after I’m gone. Of course, if they do, I did it wrong.

I would say that if your rifle is going to a friend who does not yet have one, that changes the story a little. If I had surplus I would help a friend.

This is a very personal decision. I sold an AR15 to a friend last year for essentially what it cost me.

As I said, he is a friend. And more importantly, he didn't yet own one!

I did that twice, to friends who didn’t own them for the price I paid for them. I wouldn’t mind having them back.

I’ve sold lowers in the past few years to friends that didn’t have any. But that’s the only way I’d consider selling in this climate.
