I know I'm not the only one who does this so I figured I'd try and find out why.
Ever wonder why we collectors torture ourselves by oppening e mail New Stuff listings, checking Rifle of the Day posts, and seeing what new goodies select distributors and dealers have gotten in when there is no chance in hell of having the extra cash to buy something if you really wanted it?
Every day I have a list of links I check whether I have the cash or not. Oddly enough on the days when I'm broke and find nothing, I feel a little disappointed even though I wouldn't have been able to buy something if I wanted to. Then when I do find something, I feel even worse.
Of course the days when I have money to burn I can't even find a cheap .22 to interest me.
So why did I look at picture after picture of Argentine Sistema Colt Model 1927 pistols that were selling for under $400 when I didn't have the cash to buy them? Whats even worse is I'm glad they're sold out and gone because now I don't have to wonder what kind of wheeling and dealing I'd have to do to have afforded one.
