In my opinion which means absolutely NOTHING if you have a date stamped AK receiver that you are 100% sure it was made in 1973 then oI would be confident it would be a pre ban. I will say this that other than the Mak 90's which were imported after the 1989 AWB but brought in before the Clinton ban which have known serial numbers that start with 91, 92, 93 and 94 meaning that was the year they were imported from Im told that other Chinese AK's are very difficult to decipher the serial numbers in regards to date of manufacture. Not sure what type of AK you actually have, and Im not sure when Century started or stopped for that matter importing AK's. Sorry if Im rambling on here, but again if a gun was made in 1973 I think its good to go for whatever you chose to do with it as far as stock, threaded barrel ect.
