Absolutely not. It can only create a hostile environment while serving paper. I go in with a smile and try to be polite and get out of there as fast as possible. If they were to see a gun, that is likely to make a person defensive, refuse to answer questions (like what's your name, etc.) and make my work more difficult.
They never see a firearm, OC or cuffs . . . all tools carried but ready if I should ever need them. 16 years and never had to even consider using any of them.
