Safe location

So I have a 16 gun safe. Not that big but by no means small. I was planning to keep it in my basement closet when I refinished it but the mrs wants full closet space.

Is there any problem with storing it in the garage bolted to the wall and floor? My concern was possible moisture inside the safe...but my garage is underground on two side. Open on the front and the other side is my finished basement.

As you mentioned, moisture is a major concern. The garage's position (partially underground) helps.

My only modification to your 'bolt to the wall and floor' plan would be to allow for airflow between the concrete and the safe - you don't want condensation gathering and rusting the floor or back wall of the safe.

Those electric safe heater rods might be a good way to keep it dry, if you had power available. They use like 20 watts or something, which would add up to maybe $10-20 / year so wouldn't be terribly costly compared to rusted firearms.
