Rumor or Inevitable? Healey Executive Order to eliminate the sale/transfer of AR Lowers.

I think I’ve posted this like 5 or six times in the last two months.

Everyone should have a stack of lowers at this point, the only time I would transfer a firearm is to my children when I die. One thing is for sure. They will NOT go down in value. Firearms are almost as sound an investment as gold.

What part of swearing to uphold the constitution part did she fail to commit to? Was there an asterisk in her swearing in (as AG and soon Governor)?
The parts that don't jive with her feelings and opinions, make her feel warm and fuzzy inside and give her a lady boner. Her and people like her believe their feelings and opinions are more important than your rights. It's disgraceful.

.
Was talking to a couple FFLs today and they both heard that Maura Healey will issue an Executive Order once sworn in as Governor to eliminate the sale/tranfer of all AR-15 lowers in MA. I haven’t heard that myself but wouldn’t doubt it.

So what do you think? Rumor or inevitable?
Bullsh*t.

Again who is going to stop them
Yep. All she has to do is send a letter to all the vendors threatening costly lawsuits and overnight everyone is Palmetto State Armory...

She is gonna try to stop you from transferring them to your children too. If that happens, they won’t be worth anything.

Famous last words? Could be more fear porn or could be reality. All I know is the day my kid graduates high school I'm listing my house and never looking back.
Let's see ... what has she done ...

1. She sent a message to online retailers telling them to not sell to MA. Many bowed to her will ... Many said f*ck it knowing she couldn't do anything.

Did she do anything? ... NO.

2. She tried to reinterpret the AWB, many retailers bowed to her will ... Many said f*ck it knowing she couldn't do anything.

Did she do anything? ... NO.

With the MA FA10 portal she could have gone after many, but she didn't.

She could have gone after many FFL, but she didn't. All she had to do was send a guy with a few hundred dollars to buy lowers and shut down half the FFL in the State. But she knew she couldn't or simply didn't care enough to do it.

Are you starting to see a pattern? ... that pattern is called politics, putting a show for an election.

Her next re-election is guaranteed in this State, no matter what she does. She is not stupid.

If I were still in Mass, I'd create a mold (search this forum for Boris's Lego AR) and practice by casting a few thousand lowers. That'll set you back at LEAST a hundred bucks. Maybe as much as $200. Keep the best of them and every 500 rounds or so, transfer the LPK to the next lower and toss the used one in the wood stove.

NES: "A guy at a gunshop told you about MA law? What are you, some kind of newb? The only people who know less about gun laws than cops are gunshop employees."

Also NES: "A couple of FFLs heard a rumor that the brand-new governor is going to take on SCOTUS with EOs on her very first day? HELL! That's going to happen!!!! PANIC!!!!"

So true

Can't she just find our which dealers sell then and deny their state license or revoke it? Gotta be wording in an existing law that would let her do it
Personal sales.... are really that many going to change hands outside of estates to make a difference?
Estates- obvious. I leave that one alone.

I'm considering a paper mache' lower... but it's a single-shot...

How could there be? There is no law against it
I mean, could she make up a reason, referencing an obscure or vague section of the licensing law.
Send some goons in to find stuff and have them file complaints that could cause a suspension or something.
My friend had his business shuttered for a day...due to a health code 'violation' He couldn't find anything in the law that covered it. Something about the wording on a safety sign or something. The new Health inspector was high off sniffing her own queefs, determined to find something.
Maura is a snake, she'll find something sneaky and underhanded if any other route could be challenged and cause her to lose.

Ha! I hear ya. Just happen to be what was being discussed. I’m just asking the question. Wouldn’t surprise me though if she did something like this until the MA Congress addresses it. They’ve already signaled something will be coming.

Based on what Healey has already said and done as AG, this is far more likely to be true than false. The more power you give her the more she will use that power against gun owners, not just people that buy ARs but all gun owners.

I'm sure she's looking in to it to see if she has the ability to do it. Her last press conference put an end to it for a short time - even with dealers who know the law.

If she thinks she can win, then she'll do it, but while we may not like her, she's not dumb. So if she doesn't have a clear cut way to outright ban them, then she'll just continue with trying to scare people.

I've got a 6 pack of stripped lowers with 6 lpk kits in my gun room for future need. Plus I've got more ar15s fully built that I know what to do with. I consider myself lucky

That was me a few years ago, when she had her press conference. I took advantage and sold all the stripped lowers that had been sitting in a bag.
