Many models and variations of the Mosin Nagant, that is what makes it fun.

This one is so forlorn, it needed an adopted home. And I'm just the guy who would pay $80 to rescue it. It's a 1907 Izhevsk M91 with the F-suffix serial number which is associated with Romania, lacking the handguard and cleaning rod. Beyond that, it is one crudely assembled gun, meant only to put another firearm together for inventory.

Why did I like it? Besides being cheap, it has an ill fitting front band which wont slide over the shims. The bolt has no number. The stock has wooden plugs from a previous wire loop application. And the sling slot escutcheons were fashioned in the iron age.

A perfect substitute standard rifle. I like it. Pics, and thanks for looking.

That is actually a cool mosin! The amazing part is that it was 80 bucks! The plugs where someone repaired the drilled holes are interesting!
