I took my Remington 1100 apart and installed a new gas kit. When I went to put it back the barrel back in it just won't go on. It has nothing to do with the gas kit. It won't slide down over the magazine tube.

Has any one have any experince with this?

Just a guess. Could it be that the O-ring is too tight? If so, try some lubricant on it. Never replaced any parts in my 1100, so no experience such as this.
 
One Of my guys with good eyesight found the old O ring inside a recessed ring in the barrel that slides down over the magazine.

When I bought it used and took it apart it was missing the whole ss gas kit and I didn't see the O ring which must blow up in to that recessed ring afterwards on purpose. Getting old and blind sucks.
